Introduce the family to sailing on this fun and exhilarating trip, aboard Clipper 60 Taeping. At 60ft long Taeping is large enough to be stable, but fast enough to be exciting for both novice and experienced sailors alike.

With a real "hands-on" focus everyone can get involved, with children and adults all getting the opportunity to steer the boat, work on the foredeck and just enjoy the thrill of sailing. With family fun as the main aim of the trip, our Skipper and Crew will ensure there is lots of action throughout.

When you arrive you will have an opportunity to look around the yacht, before the Skipper gives a short safety brief and kits everyone up in lifejackets and wet weather clothing (if required). Then we will slip lines and motor out to Southampton Water where everyone will work together to help hoist the sails and get Taeping sailing.

Sailing is great sport for the family, as it is one that everyone can do together. Whether it's pretending to be on the Black Pearl, the rush of steering a 60ft yacht, pleasure at harnessing power from the wind alone or just the fun of working as part of the team, there is something for everyone of different ages to to away from this experience. With no more than 10 participants there is plenty of opportunity for budding sailors to try their hands at all aspects of sailing and our professional crew will be on hand throughout to talk you through all the manourvres and get you working as a slick race team!

Event time: 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm

Boat: Clipper 60 Taeping. Trips run ONLY on midweek dates during school holidays.

Minimum Age: 8 years (note this is younger than for the rest of our experiences)

Children aged 8 to 17 must book with a parent or guardian. Children aged 8 to 12 must be accompanied in a one to one ratio with an adult, however one adult can supervise up to three 13 to 17 year olds.

There is no upper age limit! There are a number of steps and a ladder around the yacht, if you think you might need assistance to move around, we would ask you book with someone who can give you a helping hand.

PLEASE NOTE: There must be a minimum of 1 child per booking

On purchasing this gift, you will be sent a metal gift tin containing a gift voucher valid until 30/08/10 in a presentation card, an image of the boat and a DVD event preview.
